Our St. Benedict pendant is hand cast in sterling and hand polished to preserve the many details including 36 images and Latin phrases inscribed upon it. When worn or carried with devotion, St. Benedict medals are believed to declare God's authority over evil and thereby protect wearers against physical and spiritual harm.
Saint Benedict was born in Italy, around the year 480. The twin brother of Saint Scholastica, he is considered to be the father of Western monasticism. He is known for his teachings on the importance of prayer, work, and community, and also for his devotion to the spiritual battles against evil. The St. Benedict medal is a physical representation of these teachings and his dedication to God. See our St, Benedict blog to learn more about the medal.
