The Jerusalem Cross, also known as the "Five-Fold Cross," is said to represent the five wounds of Christ and also the four evangelists, or Christ and the four quarters of the world. The Jerusalem Cross is also the symbol used for Kairos, an ancient Greek word meaning "a time when conditions are right for the accomplishment of a crucial action: the opportune and decisive moment." Rooted in the Ignatian, Catholic tradition, many Catholic high schools, and universities offer Kairos retreats as a time to allow young adults to reflect on their relationship with God, self, and others. The four crosses symbolize the motto of the retreat "Live the fourth," to encourage living out the promises made on the fourth and final day of the retreat.

Love this pendant!

I love this necklace and wear it almost every day! It is small enough to be subtle and go with any outfit but still absolutely beautiful. The Kairos cross is a special symbol for me, so I love wearing this cross!

The Most Meaningful Piece

The Jerusalem Cross and Kairos has held immense meaning in my life for many years. I used to wear a big cross and was looking a more classic piece that I could wear both everyday and in more formal settings. This pendant has been absolutely perfect. I wear it with everything casual and formal, I receive endless complements, and it acts as a continuous reminder of the retreat that brought my faith to life. I would highly recommend this to anyone!

The Perfect Everyday Staple

I ordered this necklace in hopes of finding the perfect lightweight, everyday cross and it lived up to the task!! I haven't taken it off in over a year. The piece is probably a little smaller than a dime but the detailing is immaculate. I've received more compliments on it than I can count. While I'm not sure it's recommended, I've worn the necklace running, skiing, in the shower, etc. and it's still as bright and perfect as when I bought it. I have given it as a gift to a handful of friends who have adored it just as much as I. Would HIGHLY recommend this piece. (Customer service is all time as well)
