Artisan crafted featuring Lava Rock stones, a naturally formed rock with voids and irregular surfaces, making each bead unique. The porous nature of the rock makes them ideal for adding drops of essential oils. To ensure excellence and longevity, our bronze pieces are cast from antiques using the lost wax method. The elegant center is an antique replica of the profile of Our Lady of Lourdes and measures 1”. This very versatile center pairs nicely with most crucifixes! In this rosary, we have combined it with the Penal crucifix, c. 1700s. The Penal crucifix originated in Ireland for those making the pilgrimage to Lough Derg. It is called the Penal crucifix since it was designed during a time in which Roman Catholicism was under persecution in Ireland. The crucifix measures 2-1/2.” A descriptive write up comes with each purchased rosary.
